VOTERS' GUIDE
November 4, 2008, General Election in Chicago, Illinois
This Voters' Guide lists the candidates on the ballot for all positions within the city of Chicago. It also lists the two referenda on all Chicago ballots.
To determine which of these candidates are running for positions at your voting residence you need to know which districts apply. If you do not know them you can use the web site of the Chicago Board of Elections (http://www.chicagoelections.com) to determine your political address. This is also an opportunity to determine if your voter registration is active. In addition, you can view your sample ballot on the web site.
Once you know your districts you can find your candidates in this Voter's Guide.
LWV Chicago asked each non-judicial candidate to respond to two questions using a maximum of 50 words. If a candidate responded her/his response is shown following the name. The two questions were:
1) Why do you want to serve in this position?
2) Which major issues do you feel are important to your constituents?
