Show Your Gratitude for Election Workers

Let’s recognize the invaluable contributions of election judges and poll workers across the state. House Resolution 660 would designate the week of August 1 through August 7, 2024, as Illinois Election Judge and Poll Worker Appreciation Week.

We need your help to get our resolution across the finish line. Take a minute to submit a witness slip supporting HR0660 by 3 pm on Wednesday, April 10.

Witness slips are a quick and easy way to help show support for the bill. Here are some tips:

  • In Section I, fill out your information. In the 'Firm/Business or Agency' and 'Title' boxes, enter "Self"

  • In Section II Representation, enter “Self” into the box

  • In Section III Position, mark "Proponent

  • In Section IV Testimony, mark "Record of Appearance Only

The Illinois House Ethics and Elections Committee will hold a hearing Wednesday, April 10, at 3:00 pm to discuss HR0660.

Common Cause Illinois is working with the Committee to enact this small yet significant gesture to express our gratitude for poll workers’ tireless efforts in upholding democracy and ensuring free and fair elections.

By submitting a witness slip for this resolution, you're adding your voice to the growing chorus of appreciation for these dedicated individuals and amplifying our message to honor the vital role they play in shaping the democratic process in our state.

Thank you for showing election workers across Illinois how much they are appreciated!
