Ward Redistricting Update

The Chicago City Council has scheduled four hearings in January to give members of the public time to comment on proposed ward maps.

To give oral testimony, call (312) 744-6800 and leave a voice message with your name and telephone number by 8 am the day before the hearing. To submit written testimony, email your statement to Michelle.Evans@cityofchicago.org by 10 am the day before the hearing.

To watch hearings via livestream, go to the City Clerk's website at the appropriate time and look for the link near the top of the home page.

Unless 41 alderpersons agree on a new ward map by May 19, the decision will be left to voters in a referendum.
