Attend Your Monthly Police District Council Meeting

If you haven’t visited one of your Police District Council meetings, it’s about time! Residents report they’re well-run, business-like, and informative—the keys to building strong relationships.

At the 18th District Council’s “community listening tour” in Streeterville on June 27, newly-elected council members (pictured above, from left, Brad Kessler, Bob Johnson and Karen Kane) shared updates on matters like the search for a new Chicago Police Superintendent and held a commentary period where attendees could share their concerns about community safety.

Guest speaker Mike Barz, the 18th district’s new Police Commander, candidly addressed the area’s “trouble spots” and the CPD approaches to alleviate them.
