Foam Ban Passes in Illinois House

Victory! We’re calling on the Illinois legislature to reduce single-use plastic waste, starting with the worst of the worst: plastic foam cups and containers. With a 67-43 vote, HB2376-Polystyrene Reduction PASSED in the Illinois House!

This is huge. Illinois is on track to effectively put an end to one type of plastic pollution that poses risks to human & environmental health. Now it’s on to the Illinois Senate.

Thank you to everyone who contacted their reps in support of this ban. Take action now—tell your legislators to ditch foam.
