Election 2022: Important Dates

Mark your calendars! The Primary Election is right around the corner.

March 30
First day to apply for a vote by mail (VBM) ballot.

May 19
First day to vote early at the Chicago Board of Elections, 69 W Washington. Also the first day for the Board to mail an official ballot to a registered voter.

June 1–28
Early voting and registration at early voting sites; one in each ward or the Super Site, 191 N Clark.

June 12
Last day for online voter registration. Note that voter registration is available at 69 W Washington and all early voting sites.

June 23
Last day for Board Elections to receive vote by mail applications.

June 28
General Primary Election Day! Polls are open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. Voting and registration is also possible at the Super Site and all early voting sites.
