Coming Up: Local School Council Elections

Wednesday, April 20, 6 am–7 pm: Elementary school elections for parents and community members

Thursday, April 21, 6 am–7 pm: High school elections for parents and community members

Who Can Vote:

  • CPS parents, legal guardians, and temporary custodians of students.

  • Chicago residents who live within a school's voting boundary and are at least 18 years old. Look up LSC voting districts here.

  • Voters do not need to be U.S. citizens.

Parents who wish to vote in these elections must have two forms of identification, including one that establishes the voter is a parent, legal guardian, or temporary custodian of a student at the school. Community members who wish to vote must also have two forms of identification, including one that shows the voter’s current residential address is within the school’s attendance area or voting district.
