Forest Preserve Advocacy on Joan Esposito Radio Show

LWV Chicago Environmental Action Committee Co-Chair Deborah Halpern appeared on the Joan Esposito: Live, Local and Progressive radio broadcast on Thursday, October 6 to discuss the upcoming General Election referendum on Cook County Forest Preserve funding.

Emmy award-winning journalist Joan Esposito hosts a daily radio program from 2 to 5 pm on WCPT 820 that covers politics in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

About the Referendum

VOTE YES on the referendum to fund the Forest Preserves.

By approving the referendum, voters will allow a property tax increase of 0.025%. That amounts to less than $1.66/month for the vast majority of homeowners – such a small price to protect, restore, and expand our forest preserves, ensuring cleaner air and drinking water and reducing flooding.
