Redistricting Process

The Chicago Board of Elections (CBOE) staff has been placing voters in their “new” wards and precincts as determined by the city redistricting approved by the Chicago City Council in May. To date, redistricting has been completed in half of the wards. It is anticipated that this task will be finished by July 31. After all wards and precincts have been reassigned, new voter registration cards will be sent to all voters.
