All LWV Chicago members are invited to our Annual Meeting on Saturday, June 28! We’ll meet to vote on the members who will lead the organization, the budget for the next year, and changes to our org's bylaws.
Joining us as keynote speaker is Alderman Matt Martin of the 47th Ward, who serves as chair of the City Council’s Committee on Ethics and Government Oversight.
This is a hybrid meeting, so members can attend virtually or in person. In-person attendees will enjoy a light breakfast. You must be an LWV Chicago member to attend.
Keynote Speaker Alderman Matt Martin
Matt Martin is serving his second term as alderman of the 47th Ward. He currently chairs the City Council’s Committee on Ethics and Government Oversight, where he has focused on advancing campaign finance reform and strengthening the Inspector General’s Office. Prior to being elected alderman, Matt worked as a civil rights attorney in the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, where he focused on important issues including police reform, immigration, healthcare, and workers’ rights.
