Getting Voters Interested in Local Elections

Getting voters' attention outside of national elections can be a challenge. For voters, it's especially difficult to keep track of dates or races that happen in the spring, such as primaries, special elections, and some key local elections. Cities have elected mayors with single digit turnout and seen town council, school board, and other seats that intimately shape communities decided by a single vote.

So how do you build interest among voters? Education is critical for voters to feel prepared and take action. In this one-hour session, Nonprofit VOTE will be joined by leaders from the League of Women Voters of Chicago and Ex-Incarcerated People Organizing (EXPO) Wisconsin, who will share their strategies for engaging voters in local and off-cycle elections. If you want to learn more about candidate forums, this is a can't-miss webinar.

RSVP to receive the webinar recording and slides automatically. This webinar will have Live Captioning. If you need other accommodations to access the webinar, please email info@nonprofitvote.org.
