Once again, the Chicago League is partnering with Sulzer Library to sponsor a Great Decisions Foreign Policy Discussion group on the North Side.
There are no tests, no papers to write. You need know nothing about any of the topics. This is just a great way to learn a little about some key foreign policy issues facing our country and get to know and become friends with the other participants.
This year’s program features eight topics: Energy Geopolitics; War Crimes; China and the U.S.; Economic Warfare; Politics in Latin America; Global Famine; Iran at a Crossroads; and Climate Migration.
This group will meet once a week on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, beginning March 20 and running through May 8.
Participants will utilize the non-partisan Foreign Policy Association’s Great Decisions booklet containing short articles (10-12 pages) and suggested discussion questions, along with video lectures, about the different foreign policy topics. Sulzer has generously agreed to donate books for participants’ use.
LWV Chicago also runs a Great Decisions group that meets downtown twice a month on Monday afternoons. Registration for that group is now closed.
